Selina
The largest attempt yet to industrialise coliving: a hospitality chain built for people who wanted to 'stay, travel and work abroad indefinitely', pairing hostel-style rooms with coworking, wellness and events across roughly 100 properties in 22 countries. It listed on NASDAQ in 2022, then ran out of road — administration in July 2024, and by the end of that August every property had been sold to Collective Hospitality. It is here because its scale and its failure are both part of this story: demand for the life was real; the capital-heavy way it was financed was not.
Founded 2014 by Rafael Museri and Daniel Rudasevski; NASDAQ-listed 2022; entered administration July 2024, assets acquired by Collective Hospitality
